We are proudly and loudly "PALM OIL FREE". We don't use any palm oil to harden our soaps, we don't feed palm oil based food supplements to our animals, we don't hide or rename palm oil in any of our products (vegetable oil or vegetable glycerin or vegetable emulsifier - there are over 200 names for palm oil products)
Our goats graze on 20 acres of chemical SPRAY FREE grass, gorse and broome and live along side, chickens, horses, cows and of course the three dogs. Happy goats that love their nuts!
We do NOT feed any Palm based feeds to any of our animals, and farm to Organic principals where possible.
We decided to make goat's milk soap because I was getting very dry and sore skin. It was becoming very itchy using commercially manufactured soap and expensive body wash. After a lot of trial and error I taught myself how to make soap the old fashion way, the cold process way. Using this method keeps all the good properties of the milk and oil together, thus making a gentle, moisturising bar of soap for you and your family.
I use coconut oil, virgin olive oil, rice bran & organic castor oil, and my soaps are enriched with shea butter or cocoa butter, and its no coincidence that ALL these ingredients are edible by us. Our skin is a bodily organ and responds to nourishment not nasty chemicals.
Going one step further with my soap, I decided to work with clays, not only for giving colour to the soaps but also for the benefit they give to the skin.
Red/Rose Clay. High in iron oxide its great for improving the appearance of broken capillaries. Pink Clay is great for all skin types. From fragile, dehydrated to mature, lined or wrinkled skin. Green Clay can help with breakout, redness and inflammation. Great for drawing out toxins and impurities.
Activated Charcoal can absorb many toxins. Its been said it can help acne and our bars can also moisturise and nourish the dry skin.
Salt, this is great to give the skin a slight exfloration, getting rid of the dead cells so the new ones can flourish.
Using these clays, activated charcoal & salts, I feel like I am bringing a modern twist to soaps made the old fashion way.
Absolutely NO Palm oil, animal fats (lard or tallow), parabens or SLS or SLES or other nasties are used in the production of our products.
Our soaps are a natural product, and therefore are able to be used as shampoos, with no added conditioning necessary, so you can potentially do away with more chemicals in your shower.
Our products are designed for the skin, all of the skin, from the top of the head to the soles of our feet. The skin is a living breathing organ, and we think it needs to be treated with tenderness
Tracy's' medical experience together with Malcolm's' elite and extreme sport experience mean that between us we have a unique series of skills and expertise that enable us to create a range of products covering many skin issues. So it doesn't matter what's happening with your skin, we are able to help. Eczema, Psoriasis, rashes, sweat issues, anything to do with the skin.
"I love Tracy, Malcolm and their soap! It has honestly done so many wonders in my life, I’ve had many restless nights and next to no sleep with my boy, who had really bad eczema on his face and after using their soap and cream my boy now has a clear face, a lot happier within himself and sleeps a lot better without having to itch, cry and make his face bleed I tried so many things to try and get on top of Felixs' eczema but nothing worked for long term I am so happy that I found this lovely lady in Alex at the blossom festival and then again at the Invercargill southern market! These guys are really made a huge and positive impact in my life and I couldn’t thank them any more!! Highly recommend"
People don't know that goats milk contains:
To prolong the lifespan of your natural soap do not allow the soap to sit in water. Your soap needs to be stored in a dish or container that allows air circulation in between use.
Keep your soaps out of direct sunlight as the natural ingredients and colours may fade.
If you can, cut the soap in half and just use half at a time. This is great if you have brought a couple of different varieties and you can enjoy a mixture of aromas during the week!
Store unused soap in a cool dry place, not the bathroom. A linen closet is great! Plus the smell will make your linen smell great!
And finally, enjoy your soaps, use them....I will make more for you!
